THE ENIGMATIC PERSONA - ANGIE SYMINGTON
The origins of Angie start over a huge ocean in a colorful, historic, and culturally preserved land from a household that did not tolerate a sedentary mind. Imagination and creativity were Angie’s outlet for making the best of any situation. ‘If you can’t afford it, you better learn to make it.’ Art became one of those outlets. Angie failed all art classes. Applying her natural grit to carry on she gave the instructors the finger and continued her passion untrained.    

The early years were, and continued to be, humble and money tight. Yet Angie was able to experience a wide array of cultural experiences resulting from being the child of an international product representative. Due to the nature of her father’s work, her family relocated from place to place for extended periods which afforded Angie access to the local cultural offerings. These experiences were seeds that eventually grew into the brilliance of Angie’s endeavors.

Her teenage years solidified her independence and resilience. Keeping up with her tenacity, at 15 she fell into a decades-long successful international modeling career which exposed her to a plethora of significant locations, renowned designers, and photographers around the world. She was a muse, a desire, a leader, an independent thinker. On her down times, Angie would be found in seedy bars people-watching. During her modeling career she experienced the advent of AIDS and the toll it took on the fashion industry. Many of her friends and colleagues fell victim to the stigma and mortality of the virus. She also witnessed various forms of abuse which exposed the harsh reality of the world. These devastating experiences were the catalyst for Angie’s ongoing support for HIV/AIDS and domestic abuse-related services and movements both local and international continuing to this day.

Not to be overlooked, she has a compassion for all animal friends. She will support and defend an animal equally as she would for a human. She will help any animal in distress and spoil the ones close to her.

After modeling, Angie tried her taste for domestic life. She experienced depression and both physical and mental abuse. Then Angie discovered the world of Bob Ross. Bob’s positive and soothing demonstrations of painting on canvas re-ignited a flame in Angie to release her creative side. She painted during the wee morning hours before the house stirred. After many abusive relationships, the flame was extinguished and replaced once again with depression. After years of struggle and misdiagnosis, Angie found herself again. Her hiatus from her real self was over. She emerged like a phoenix ready to burn away the toxicity in her life and shine as a beacon for others. Strength, independence, and the ability to see through bullshit.

To date, Angie owns a successful art and interior design business (Euro Trash) where she shares her creative talents around the globe in exhibits as well as direct sales and contract work. She is seen at many event venues and fundraisers. Her other creative outlet is food. Angie owns a private personal chef service (A Very British Affair) providing a traditional “British High Tea” experience.
